Our words hold value. It wasn’t hard to decide to put a price on this post (and others soon to come). As a Black woman (a human person) much has been stolen without consent, remorse, or regret by other humans. This repeated experience has impacted me in several ways: first, I fight for others. I know firsthand the devastation of being denied what is rightfully yours. Second, I reward people according to how they treat human beings. For example, I’d notice in particular how a person treats a human deemed less deserving for no reason other than their race.
