More than a Woman
My maternal grandmother fled a segregated Alabama.
My mother launched her minority-owned business with $0 funds.
I will now launch my Millennial and Female-owned company with $0 in loans later this year.

Behind the Brand
Mood
MOTIVATION: We need more Black women owned business, and more Black women in C-Suite in America
NOTABLE: My entity has $0 debt and $0 loans [it did, however, take a little longer to open because of this]
REGRETS: I worried needlessly. I wish I had enjoyed the process more, and trusted God's timing
ADVICE: Plan and build as if you are the sole responsible owner [even if you have support...it can vanish]
Eye Contact
HUMBLE BRAG: I use minority and women owned services, professionals, and businesses first
PAY IT FORWARD: There are no entry level positions; every hire has a professional title and advanced responsibilities
ENCOURAGED: Natural hair, exercise during work hours, bringing a child to work, defending human rights
COMMITMENT: Pay equity for Black American women is a personal focus of mine and a company commitment
